On Saturday 23 October 2021 the Minister of Culture and Sports, Lina Mendoni, visited the Ugo Foscolo House accompanied by Member of Parliament Dionysios Aktipis, Deputy Regional Governor G. Stasinopoulos and close colleagues.

Ms Mendoni was welcomed by the President of the Board, Filippos Synetos, Board members Stefania Kapnisi, Marios Soulis and Andriana Pomoni, and many members of the association.

After touring the floors of the house as well, Ms Mendoni congratulated the Board on the work carried out and promised that Ministry services would promptly undertake the conservation of the renowned sculpture in the grounds of the historic house. The President of the Association thanked the Minister for her interest in visiting the place where the poet grew up and reminded the local authorities that creating a museum exhibition is a top priority for the locality, which for the time being is “borne on the shoulders” of the association alone, with its limited means.
